Catch Yourself IN THE ACT

One tool I believe helps people change is just to observe yourself in conflict  in real time. What are you experiencing, feeling, thinking and behaving at that red hot moment? That gives you one piece of data that can help you change. Change is reducing the frequency, intensity, and duration of unwanted or ineffective behaviour, thoughts and feelings.
